Utkal University of Culture (UUC) in Bhubaneswar, established in 1999, aspires to obtain the crucial 12B status under the University Grants Commission (UGC) Act. This status is essential to receive funding from the Central government and affiliated organizations. The university faces challenges due to a shortage of regular faculty members and a lack of record of rights (RoR) for its land. Efforts are underway to address these issues, including the recruitment of faculty and obtaining the RoR to become eligible for the 12B status and NAAC assessment.
